Die Assistenzprofessur für Architecture & Nachhaltige Gebäudetechnologien besteht seit Oktober 2010. Sie ist Teil des Instituts für Technologie in der Architektur (ITA). Die Forschung konzentriert sich auf neue Ansätze und Methoden für den Entwurf, die Planung und den Betrieb von Gebäuden als dynamische Systeme. Motivation und Ziel ist die Verringerung der durch Gebäude verursachten Treibhausgasemissionen und der effizienter Umgang mit Energie und Ressourcen. Für die Forschung werden zukunftsweisende Technologien aus dem Bereich der Gebäudetechnik, der Informations-und Kommunikationstechnologie identifiziert, integriert und im architektonischen Prozess zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Assistenzprofessur wird unterstützt von Siemens Building Technologies.

The Assistant Professorship of Architecture & Sustainable Building Technologies (SuAT) was founded in October 2010. SuAT research focuses on new approaches for the design, planning and operation of buildings as dynamic systems. The motivation and aim of this research is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in buildings and increase the efficiency of energy and resource use in the built environment. The research is based on the identification and integration of advanced technologies from the fields of building services, information and communication. Research objective is the development of new methods, processes and tools to be used at different scales and stages of the building lifecycle, spanning from component to city scale and from conceptual design stage to building operation stage. The Assistant Professorship is supported by Siemens Building Technologies.
